School Rumble 2nd Term [8-9]

Short lil story arc for the soon-to-be girl’s basketball team. It was a sudden shift of focus from the main storylines but it featured Mikoto so… WIN!

Gettin’ the team set

I genuinely felt sorry for Tenma during these scenes.

She’s may be a lazy dork but I’m not heartless. She looked so sad… *sniff*

Lezz Rock!

Silly Imadori… silly silly makes-me-laugh-too-damn-much Imadori.

Satsuki and Mikoto look so happy.

Two heartfelt smiles showing the girls’ determination to move forward.

…or something like that, haha. Writing stuff like that doesn’t suit me; I thought I’d try it out, though.

Satsuki is so damn mature. She’s got more balls than all of class 2-C, haha.

Why does Lala have to yell so much. Her normal voice fits her just fine. It’s kinda husky and masculine. I don’t see why she’s gotta yell and say shit off key. Whenever she opens her mouth, I cringe at that yelling voice. I can’t wait for her to start changing. I forget when but she’ll slowly become more girly, letting her hair down and such, and *should* stop friggin’ yelling so friggin’ much.

Ah haha, that scene when Tae-sensei was giving the girls names and Karen “explained” what ‘gori’ meant to Lala… then she came charging back the next day saying she was lied to… HAHAHAHA great scene.

I don’t know why it took me so long to notice but there are, like, no third year students in this school. There hasn’t been a single one shown yet. I know I know, random thought.

The art and animation really dropped off. They’ve gotten lazy since the first few episodes. There were some other caps I wanted to use but the art was so horrible, especially the faces, that I couldn’t bare to use them. Animation is near non-existent. It might be worse than the first season. Instead of moderate movement, like lips or arms, there’s so many still shots now.

Sometimes, it feels like I’m looking at pictures in the manga except with voices. Ultimately, if they skimp on the animation, I can live with it… just don’t screw up the art.

School Rumble 2nd Term [7]

This episode was highly unnecessary. I spoke too soon in the last entry, this one was the filler episode.

It did have one redeeming factor.

I kid, I kid, I just liked that pic.

Here we go…

I kid, I kid again, I liked those pics, too.

For reals… Bunny Girl Yakumo!

More specifically, shoddily spliced Bunny Girl Yakumo! Ya can’t say ‘no’ to that, now can you?

Oh, can’t forget Karen goodness.

Ok, fine, so there were a few redeeming factors. Still, it was a complete filler episode with half the episode being made up for the anime, of which was rather lacking.

They should have just extended existing scenes instead.

School Rumble 2nd Term [6]

Karen’s crew looks sweeter than the manga! Hyuu hyuu~

So Mikoto and Asou started here? It’s not much but I didn’t realize the stage was set until the basketball story.

Pun intended.

Can’t end this w/o Shoujo-Ai.

Good stuff. This played out near identically to the manga.

It’s about time Eri found out the truth about Harima and Yakumo. Sadly, Tenma doesn’t know yet and will be sure to complicate things as usual.

Mikoto’s been shafted for stories lately. BOOO, I say, BOOO!

Aaaand, Imadori finally notices Karen. It’s kinda fleeting but it’s a start!

School Rumble 2nd Term [5]

Yeah, my headers and caps are gettin’ boring but I really am spending too much time blogging instead of watching. Creativity slows down my entertainment!

So back to montages (albeit this one is rather small).

I could just watch a bunch of episodes than write about them in bulk but sometimes my screencaps get out of hand and sorting through several episodes worth of caps slows me down even more.

Not that there’s any type of consistency to my entries. I just watch however much than post when I feel like it. I do like blogging after every episode or two. It helps pace myself so I don’t get too engrossed and marathon it. Kinda like it keeps me in check.

This episode was more of a filler even though it was part of the cultural festival. Very little story progression except Harima won the manga contest. Oh, I guess Yakumo saying she has no one she likes has some significance. She’s helping Harima since she’s too nice or she’s curious about him/his manga. Or both.

Above all that, I laughed a lot. Haha… DUWA! DUWA DUWA!

On to the play!

School Rumble 2nd Term [4]

The play submissions were hilarious.

So this is where Eri really starts thinking about her feelings for Harima. I don’t recall that inner monologue she had in the manga; the one where she thinks about her situation while at the onsen. Her relationship with Harima, a guy, is vastly different than that of any other guys and thus makes her take notice.

I suppose, whether those thoughts of hers were in the manga or not isn’t a big deal since it’s true. Hell, w/o it, I might not have put it together. See, this is why I seriously have to pay more attention when reading manga. I go through that shit too fast.

Anyway, Harima is the only guy that lets Eri be normal. She doesn’t have to put up a front like she does with other guys. Does she like him yet? Mmm… probably not. It’s enough to make her interested in a curious sort of way.

…seriously, I need to pay more attention. I get so engrossed by the stories… or maybe… it’s better this way! It’s like having twice the discovery!

…self-delusion rox.

Anyway, with the preparations done, it’s on to the cultural festival!

Should be oodles of fun!

Yes, I said “oodles.”
