No, I still haven’t watched past the first episode.

In the time I haven’t been watching School Days, I’ve unfortunately (or is it fortunately?) been reading up on it. I haven’t actively gone out of my way to get info but as I read my usual sites and click a link here or a link there, I inadvertently get some more information on this series.

And it fuckin’ sucks.

Or it doesn’t fuckin’ suck.

Apparently, Makoto is a grade ‘A’ retarded moron SLASH raging idiot SLASH indecisive asshole SLASH insert other hateful descriptions here. I mean, from the little I’ve read about him, he really really really sucks.

I now know why the descriptions for this anime mentioned “notorious for its violent scenes.” Thankfully, it wasn’t a huge spoiler. It was just referring to a few of the bad endings for this game and how they were SUPREMELY violent and disturbing endings. Oh, why do I mention this so randomly when I was bitchin’ about Makoto?

One of the bad endings consist of Makoto meeting his maker. In many places across the intarwebs, fans of the game considered this ending to be the BEST ENDING. Can you believe it? How fuckin’ horrible does a guy have to be to deserve death?

Even so, the character relationships may turn out interesting and the story may unfold differently than the tired old. Also, there seems to be a lot of speculation that this may end with one of the bad endings and that would be a trip to see. But through all this, I still have to deal with Makoto. Previous entries of me raggin’ on annoying MCs should be enough proof that I despise them.

I want to watch this but I’m sure I shouldn’t. That’s why I don’t know if spoiling myself a bit is bad. If I don’t watch it, no big deal and I saved myself a headache. If I do watch it, I’ll be extra biased against Makoto.

My obsession for these types of anime vs knowing I’ll be pissed off while watching:

ZOMG something new… and of course, it’s based on a bishoujo game.

As if anything else exists, duh.

This wasn’t a bad start. For a first episode, things moved quite fast. No dawdling around nor introducing characters… wait, isn’t that last part kinda necessary?

These 3 kids didn’t know each other prior to this episode and by the end, Makoto is “best buds” with Sekai and he’s already hooked up with Kotonoha and not-soon-after does he cheat on her (granted Sekai instigated the kiss). Whew, that’s a mouthful. In short, I know nothing and more has happened in this one episode than I’ve seen in an entire season in other anime.

And the MC is a pussy but hopefully he won’t remain one for too long. Most MCs in these dating games tend to be acceptable so… yeah. Don’t make me hate this cuz of the dude.

The last scene made no sense either.

What was it trying to prelude? A new beginning? Everyone in color likes Makoto? It was there just to superficially confuse me? It happened right after the kiss so my mind was frivolously trying to tie it together.

Ahh… but seriously, it really wasn’t a bad start.

One last thing, I gotta stop reading up on shit I’m gonna watch/read. Half the places I went to said “School Days is about bla bla and it’s known for it’s violent scenes.” I mean, what the fuck, eh? I spent the whole episode thinking some crazy shit was gonna happen… especially at the end when Makoto and Sekai were at the train station. I kept thinking “shit, she gonna fall ain’t she? Or wait, Kotonoha’s gonna pop out and push her… no, she’ll push Makoto. No wait, they all tussle and all fall in and that’s the end of the show.”

Yeah, I’m silly like that.

Oops, forgot to note something. Since that description exists, I still wonder what the violence will entail. My mind is making up all kinds of shit and some of it is quite disturbing. I don’t mind things gettin’ funky since it’ll be a good way to stray from the same ol’ but… some of the thoughts in my head… *shiver*

No choice but to wait and see, eh? I’m doing my best not to read up on this shit to ensure it’s surprise, if any. I fuckin’ spoil myself way too much by lookin’ up shit.

There wasn’t many interesting caps in this episode, as can be seen above. The animation is solid but the art, or more specifically the character designs are rather plain. Not many interesting shots. I snapped away a ton but deleted most of them.

I did get bored and put this together.

Now it’s back to more manga…
