Finally some action… that took half the episode to set-up…
Compared to the previous two series, this one just doesn’t have the intensity as they did. Maybe it’s too long. Presuming the bulk of the remaining episodes contain story elements, action especially, I can’t say 13 episodes would have been enough but they could have definitely cut down the past 11 episodes to 8 or even as low as 6.
The downtime is such a drag. Next to the characters, the biggest draw for me to the previous series’ was the action. Right now, this series lacks both the strength of character development and intense action.
Ahhh… all I do is bitch, huh? By no means has this series NOT had it’s share of intensity. I wouldn’t still be watching if it didn’t. Episodes 7-9 were awesome, especially the end of episode 8. Who would have thought that used to be our cute lil 3rd grader Nanoha?
This current story arc shows promise and the latter half of this episode was tight but spending an episode and a half to set it up was a drag. Even with that, I anticipate the next episode with glee. Yes, glee.
Ahh… there’s too many characters and all I care about is the old school girls.
Well, Caro shows promise.
She seems like the noob with the most potential and a clash between the two lolis pictured here could prove interesting.
They practically mirror each other; both have two powerful types of familiars (I presume Caro’s 2nd dragon is uber and yes, I’m calling Lutecia’s bugs a familiar) and, well… they’re lolis. They have to rival each other. Duh.
On a side note, I don’t see the purpose of limiters and limiting the limiters during crisis situations. Why risk losing your precious mages cuz you hold them back? It’s kinda silly. It’s like a contrived way of making latter battles more intense by going Super Saiyan level 3 right when you need it.
Gimme more intensity!
