Solid start for this anime though it was a bit cliche. The animation is top notch. If it keeps up during extended fight scenes, I’ll be quite impressed. The story is a lil funky but nothing out of the ordinary. Kinda reminds me of a violent Inuyasha.

Hahaha, ok, so that comparison is way off. It’s just the whole “hanyou” (half-demon half-human) thing that made me think of Inuyasha. For some reason, every time I hear “hanyou” I always think of that. Of course, these Claymores are a totally different type of hanyou. Probably like anyone else, I assumed they were born this way but to be genetically altered or whatever to become these half-breeds… nope, didn’t quite assume that.

Anyway, the story is intriguing so far. Plenty of mysteries, especially regarding Claymores themselves, and will probably be worth watching.

On a related note but not really anything to do with Claymore…

Does real armor seriously not exist for females?

I know it’s not sexay if you cover them up and shit with full armor but it’s not practical either! It’s always like this and I always have to notice it and comment on it. Always.

It’s really dumb why I have to mention it. Always.

Ahh, I suppose there are a couple of annoyances.

Flashbacks of scenes within the same episode are really stupid. This happened a few times in the first episode and well, it’s stupid. I hate it. Seriously, find a better way to be dramatic. I saw that scene 5 minutes ago, it’s not gonna be impactful as a flashback that soon.

And Raki is hella annoying. Yeah yeah, you need some character to liven things up and bring out the human side of Clare but does he really have to talk so much. His voice is so whiny. He hasn’t cooked anything yet either. Roasting up some dead alligator over a fire isn’t cooking.

Haha, these are just silly things I’m picking out. Unless they get rampant and worsen, they won’t affect this show.
