Ah, what a good place to stop.

The fight was comical, at first, but it got serious in a hurry. I didn’t expect that. Nor did I expect Chopper to kick some serious ass. He can be really buff but he suffers from a massive weakness. He has no faith in himself. If I recall correctly, this is only the second time Chopper really fought. The first time was waaaaaay back during his intro storyline. I can’t remember him fighting like this anytime in between.

Oh wait, he fought during the Alabasta storyline too. Geh, I can’t recall what happened then. I don’t think he fought as tough of an opponent though. I mean, this time he fought one of the priests. And won! Heh, he’s too funny. It’s rare for him to get so serious… even right after the battle he got all funny again hahaha. Of course, his opponent was great comic relief too.

All the priests are out now. The enforcers were crap to begin with so they aren’t worth anything. The only “bad guys” left are Enel and the high priest, Yama. I just now realized they cut away from his fight with Robin. They never did go back to it in this ep. Anyhow, Sanji and Usopp are out for the Straw Hat crew…. not that Ussop was worth anything anyway. That leaves Luffy, Zoro, Robin, and Chopper. Of the Shandians, I think there were four buff one’s and two are down.

That puts the tally at two for the “bad guys,” four among Luffy’s crew, and two left for the Shandians. Maybe three if that one Shandian chick decides to fight. She seemed strong but I don’t think she’s as strong as the other four. In any case, it’s getting quite intense now.

Buuuut, sleep calls. Damn. Being responsible sucks.

Damn. That was some tight action between Luffy and Wiper. It’s been a while but I can’t remember the last time the action was so good. Outside boss battles, a lot of the fights are short since Luffy and crew are so buff. They may drag out the battles a bit but the actual fight scenes aren’t that long. This one was extended nicely… it’s a shame that stupid huge ass snake got in the way. I wanted to see more!

Ussop is so worthless. No matter how cool they make him look sometimes, he always ends up being worthless. Sure, he’s comic relief but somewhere in one of the episodes in the early 100s, I just got annoyed by him. Ever since then, I’m constantly annoyed. I still laugh when he’s *trying* to be funny but when it’s other circumstances, like a serious moment, he just annoys me. It’s cuz he’s such a pussy. Luffy is never serious but that’s cuz he’s suppose to be stupid and laid back. I hate Ussop’s cowardness. Geh.

Chopper’s a coward too but at least he knows it. Plus, he’s suppose to be a child, or child-like, so it’s forgivable.

Alright! I’m just biased towards Ussop. Bah!

Speaking of Chopper… Ahhhh, poor Chopper. He always gets screwed. Of all the enemies to run into, it had to be the weirdo priest. Haha but that priest is funny. This should be a comical “fight.”

Wooo, tons of action. I love how fast this series can move if it wants to. That’s one drawback to these types of shounen actions shows. They can take fight scenes and really reaaaaaaaally drag them out. And during them, they love to riddle the scenes with dialogue. Sure, One Piece does that too but they aren’t plagued by it and if it’s a battle that isn’t a MAIN battle, then they won’t stretch it out any longer then it needs to be. It also shows just how buff certain characters are over others.

Anyway, I didn’t expect Sanji to be taken down so fast. Enel popped up out of nowhere. I almost thought I skipped an ep. That’s one thing I do remember from the manga. Enel is extremely buff.

I need more!

Another fun episode. I watch One Piece sporadically but I do enjoy it every time I watch. We finally get the prelude to Luffy vs Wiper. I forget how far the fight between them gets in the manga though. It’s been far too long since I read the manga… which is great because watching the anime feels like it’s all new now. Next ep should be action packed! It’s been a lull the last few eps but now the story should pick up much more.

What to watch… what to watch… gotta squeeze something in before I get my haircut.
